This Baofeng UV-5R III is quite an inexpensive walkie talkie, so you really can't go wrong with this one.
Its handy for checking the Channel 18 Caravan frequency,or channel 40, to check the road conditions in front, or find a good campsite, meal etc.
The uses are endless.
I use mine when I'm out walking and leave one back at camp so they can contact me anytime, in case of an emergency, or there catching lots of fish haha.
