NT. Free Camping, Caravan Parks, Visitor Centres, and Sightseeing

Australia is blessed with many free camping locations across the nation, with the Northern Territory being no exception
We have over 20 Caravan Parks listed. So finding a place to camp for a night or two won't be a problem.
It's also a good idea to pop into a Visitor Centre, to gain an insight into what places are worthy of spending some time.
We  have over 10 Rest Areas listed, but I'm sure there are others that we don't have in our database.
Also we haven't forgotten those of you who travel with pets. We have over 20 places you can take your dog to legally.
Because of the Northern Territories immense size, there are many free camp sites available, and we need to get some of them listed here for others to enjoy and plan ahead. So if you know of some not already listed please consider adding them to our database.

Remember to take plenty of water with you when travelling in remote areas, and always let someone know of your plans ahead of time, so if your running late, they can call the local authorities to start a search party if needed.
This is no joke, as some overseas tourists have lost their lives in Outback Australia.

. If you know of a great campsite that is not already listed.
You can add it yourself, or ask the admin to do it for you.
This way we an share Australia, with all those willing to go and explore it for themselves.
