It's always a good idea to pop into a Visitor Information Centre, especially when your visiting the area or the first time

Here you will gain knowledge of the surrounding district, places of interest to visit, sightseeing spots to take in the view from, and grab a picture or two.
AND from a campers point of view, great places to camp, and good places to visit for a meal.

A.C.T. Latest Listings

A.C.T. Free Camping, Caravan Parks, Visitor Centres, and Sightseeing

Australia is blessed with many free camping locations across the nation.
Unfortunately, the Australian Capital Territory is really lacking in free camping locations;
However, the A.C.T. does cater for the travelling visitor, reasonably well.
You will find a few caravan parks from which you can set up a base camp, and explore the A.C.T. and surrounding area.
It's also a good idea to pop into a Visitor Centre, to gain an insight into what places are worthy of spending some time.
We only have a few Rest Areas listed, but I'm sure there are others that we don't have in our database.

Also if you know of a place that is not already listed.
You can add it yourself, or ask the admin to do it for you.
This way we an share Australia with those willing to go and explore it.
